Senior Real Estate Specialist

Seniors have become the fastest growing segment of the real estate industry, and nearly 4 out of 10 property owners over 65 have lived in the same home for over 30 years. The issues facing these clients are unique and special.. The SRES course will prepare you to meet the special real estate needs of maturing Americans. Learn to help seniors make wise decisions about selling the family home, buying rental property, and managing the capital gains and tax implications of owing real estate:

  • Describe the range of housing and developmental needs of each of the three major segments of the growing mature population
  • Develop and maintain the "senior" client relationship while earning the respect and trust of the mature client
  • Effectively address the major concerns and fears of each segment of today’s mature client population
  • Create personalized housing plans for mature clients and their families to reduce their fears and concerns about selling or buying
  • Assist maturing clients to take positive actions in estate, real estate and financial planning
  • Move from a selling style approach to one of a professional counselor
  • Develop team-building skills with family members and other professional senior service providers in the community
